“Ganapati Bappa Morya”~~~

Om Sai Ram!!!

“Ganapati (Sanskrit: gaṇapati), a synonym for Ganesha, is a compound composed of gaṇa, meaning “group”, and pati, meaning “ruler” or “lord”.”
Bappa: father / Lord
“All join in this final procession shouting “Ganapathi Bappa Morya, Purchya Varshi Laukar ya” (O father Ganesha, come again speedily next year). “
“Morya Gosavi was a 14th century saint of the Ganapatya sect. He was a great devotee of Ganesha. He was originally from a village called Shaligram in Karnataka. He built the Mayureshwar temple at Morgaon, near Pune. The starting of the Ashtavinayak pilgrimage is attributed to him. The words Ganapati Bappa Morya are attributed to him. He was a contemporary of Chattrapati Shahu Maharaj and Peshwa Balaji Vishwanath Bhatt. He took sanjeevan samadhi at Chinchwad, Pune.”
“Mangalmurti : ‘Man’ means complete and glu-gayate means the one endowing Serenity or purity. That which purifies both internally as well as externally is auspicious (mangal). An image bringing auspiciousness is thus Mangalmurti. In Maharashtra ‘Mangalmurti morya’ is used to proclaim Ganapati’s glory. The word morya in it refers to a famous devotee of Lord Ganesh in the fourteenth century called Morya Gosavi, from Chinchvad, near Pune. This depicts the inseparable relationship between God and a devotee.”
“What is the significance of the term “Ganapati Bappa Morya”?

Devotees chant Ganapati Bappa Morya all the time to sing the praises of Lord Ganesh. But how many of them know what the word Morya signify? The word Morya refers to a famous devotee of Lord Ganesh in the fourteenth century called Morya Gosavi, from Chinchvad, near Pune who invoked the Lord with severe penance.
He attained siddhi (special powers and blessings) at Shree Chintamani and his son built the temple to commemorate the event. It is said that Moryaji also performed penances at Siddhi Vinayak in Ahmedabad and in Moreshwar/Mayureshwar at Moregoan where he also built the temple. Thus this depicts the inseparable relationship between God and his devotee.”
“Many sages like tukaram maharaj and others have endorsed Moraya Gosavi as one who merged with Ganapati.
For rationalists, it will be hard to believe but for devotees, praying to Moraya Gosavi means praying to Lord Ganesh!”

MEANINGLESS GOALS~

A farmer had a dog who used to sit by the roadside waiting for vehicles to come around. As soon as one came he would run down the road, barking and trying to overtake it. One day a neighbor asked the farmer "Do you think your dog is ever going to catch a car?" The farmer replied, "That is not what bothers me. What bothers me is what he would do if he ever caught one." Many people in life behave like that dog who is pursuing meaningless goals.

Life is hard by the yard,
but by the inch,
it's a cinch.

Om Sai Ram!!!

Bhimaji, who had serious chest disease, asthma, tuberculosis, etc., Baba first told Shama, ‘Shama, in bringing this thief to me what a load of responsibility you are placing on me!’ Baba meant that the tuberculosis, asthma, etc., from which Bhimaji suffered were the result of Bhiinaji’s karma in a previous janma consisting of theft. Bhimaji felt Baba’s declaration a blow. At once he surrendered himself to Baba and said, ‘Helper of the helpless! I am helpless. Pray show thy pity and grace to me’. Then Baba’s tone changed. Baba told him, ‘The Fakir (God) is merciful, and your disease will be cured’. He was suffering from the results of karma, but that could be mitigated, and so the man was sent to live and sleep in a wet verandah. Bhimaji did so. There, he had two very dreadful dreams. In one dream, he was mercilessly birched by a school master. For, in the dream he fancied he was a boy and the master was birching him. So, he felt the pain in the dream and he roared out. In the second dream, it was even worse. He felt that some one was placing a stone roller and rolling it over his breast. He suffered all the horror of instant death approaching him. All the pain of a hanging sentence and whipping sentence were endured by this man in the course of one night. Baba thus changed the punishments, which he had earned by his previous karma, and told him that he was thus free from karmic effects. He then recovered his health. The above instances go to show that most of our conceptions about karma are nebulous and ungrounded, and that the safest course for us to follow would be to be guided by the dicta of Satpurushas like Sai Baba.”

"GREAT ATTITUDE"

Once a Bird asked a BEE, After a continuous hard work, you prepare the honey.......... But a man steals the honey. Do you not feel sad?" Then the Bee replied, Never...... Because a man can only steal my honey, not the art of making honey~

SPOKEN WORDS CAN'T BE RETRIEVED~~

A farmer insulted his neighbor. Realizing his mistake, he went to the preacher to ask for forgiveness. The preacher told him to take a bag of feathers and drop them in the center of town. The farmer did as he was told. Then the preacher asked him to go and collect the feathers and put them back in the bag. The farmer tried but couldn't as the feathers had all blown away. When he returned with the empty bag, the preacher said, "The same thing is true about your words. You dropped them rather easily but you cannot retrieve them, so be very careful in choosing your words."
