BABA had replied," I am just joking. You all have made me MADHAV from MANAV and that is your greatness. I got everything from you people. Behave the same way with other creatures. See MADHAV in all beings and then I will be rewarded and honored. And that will be the real worship of Me.'

Why did BABA chosen Dassera only for His Samadhi?

Because it was one out of the three and half auspicious days in the year( when there is no need to find out the 'muhurat or auspicious time.) All know very well that an auspicious time for departure is valued or chosen.

One who is beyond birth and death, how could there be a departure for Him or the necessity of an auspicious time for it? One who is not bound by religion or otherwise; one who has control over all attachments ; one who has no ascending of His vital life force- What is Niryana for Him?

The body is a loan taken from five elements. Once its task is accompolished, it returns to the same elements. BABA had given indications of what was to happen in a marvellous way. The precious time has passed but the glory remains.

Getting fever was a pretext. Imitating ordinary people, He moaned and groaned at times. But within, He was always alert nd conscious. After 9.30or 10 in the morning, when the time of Niryan came near, He sat up by Himself, fully conscious. Seeing BABA in such a condition, the sea of hope rose in the hearts of the people. All felt that the dangerous or evil time had passed. So all sat dejected and worried in this way , the time for BABA's Niryan came near.

Where there were only a few moments left for Niryan, none knew what was in His mind. He put His hand in the pocket of the kafni knowing that it was the right time for charity.

A greatly virtuous woman, named Lakshmi , whose deeds matched her name, who was always devoted at Sai's feet , was near Him at that time.BABA, very cautiously , donated some money to her since BABA had realized that His Niryan was imminent. Though He was on the verge of breathing His last and the body was slackened and weak, BABA with His own hands gave a donation to her, at the time of passing away.

Taking out from the pocket once five and then four rupees, He placed them on her hands. This was the last act of BABA.

Was it indicative of the nine types of devotion, or was it because of the worship of Ambika at Navrathra had been completed and it was the Seemolanghan? Was it the dakshina of Seemolanghan? Or was BABA giving a reminder of the nine good qualities required of a disciple as told by Sri Krishna to Uddhava of the Shrimad Bhagavat?

Saints are fully aware of their time of death. Till they are in body, they weary their bodies for their devotees with great love and at the end the place where the body is abandoned is utilized for the benefit of their devotees.

Some have their Samadhi built before leaving the body, so that their body may certainly find quietude at that place.

That is how BABA acted, But no one realized it earlier. He got the Samadhi Mandir built in an unique way.

There was a very rich man of Nagpur, called Bapusaheb Butti. BABA got the edifice raised by him.

Bapusaheb was a great devotee of and attached to the feet of BABA. He came often with with his family and stayed at Shirdi to serve Him.

He felt like buying a small plot of land and constructing a small building to stay there independently.

This was how the original seed was sown from which the tree in the form of the temple stands today. This is the visible monument of SAI MAHARAJ'S love for the benefit of His devotees.

When Bapusaheb was sleeping once, on the first floor of Dixit Wada, he got this idea while seeing a wonderful vision.

There itself, where Madhavrao was sleeping on one of the beds, he also had the same vision. Both were very surprised.

In Bapusaheb's vision BABA was commanding him:"You should build your own Wada certainly, with a Mandir within it."

No sooner than the vision ended, Bapusaheb awakened. Sitting on the bed, he began to recall the whole dream.

While he was thus occupied, he heard Madhavrao weeping. Butti loudly called out to him:"Wake up" and this made him fully awake.Butti had asked Madhavrao the reason for weeping and Madhavrao replied. BABA came near me and gave me an explicit order," Let there be a Wada with a temple. It will fulfill desires of all".

Bapusaheb was left wondering why both had the same vision. He no longer had any doubts. He decided to act upon it.

They discussed it with Kaka( Dixit) and the three jointly prepared a plan and put up to BABA for approval.BABA immediately gave His permission to build the house with the temple.

Madhavrao got ready to supervise the work. The basement and the ground floor got ready. Even the well was ready under his direction.

On His way to and from the Lendi, while the doors and windows were being fixed, BABA watched with interest and eagerness. He would say, " A door should be here; a window there. Here, to the east , have a gallery. It will look nice."

As the work was progressing, Butti got an inspiration that in the innermost space of the building he could instal the image of Muralidhar(Lord Krishna). He told Madhavrao to seek permission from BABA for the same.

BABA happily gave His consent and told" After the temple is completed, we will come and live there."

Gazing at the Wada, BABA spoke very sweetly:" After the Wada is completed , we shall use it for ourselves. We shall be together there; there itself, we shall all play and embrace each other lovingly and enjoy a time of plenty happily."

The central hall was completed and also the square platform for Muralidhar. The statue was also entrusted to be made by a sculptor.

Later, there came a time when BABA became seriously ill and death became imminent. The devotees were greatly anxious.

Bapusaheb was miserable about the future of the Wada. He did not know what would happen and was, disturbed. Henceforth would BABA's feet touch this temple? When BABA is no more, why should there be Muralidhar or a temple?

Later, because of good fortune, when the end came, due to BABA's orders, the Wada had a great destiny and all were pleased.

" Place me in Wada." These words of BABA at the time of passing away,when they were uttered by BABA brought great relief to all.

Then the Holy remains of BABA's body rested finally in the central hall. The Wada became the Samadhi Mandir. Unfathomable is BABA's life.

In the last moments one should be alert about attaining salvation.There should be peace and solitude, the chosen deity's image should be fixed in the mind without any distraction. " One is reborn according to one's last thoughts" is the well-known axiom. Saints themselves practice this to maintain the prevalent custom.

When there was only fourteen days left for BABA's passing away, BABA appointed Mr-Vaze Sat to read 'Ramvijay'.

Vaze Sat in the Masjid and began the reading of the holy book. BABA began to listen to it. Thus eight days passed.

Then BABA ordered that the book be read without a break. So Vaze read it in this manner, for three days and nights.

He sat for full eleven days . Later he was tired and felt weak. He was exhausted with the reading . In this way three more days passed.

So what did BABA do later? He stopped reading. He sent Vaze away from there and kept quiet Himself.

It is the practice of Saints, Sages and wise people to listen to religious books, when the time for the passing away is near.

Acharya Shuka recounted the Maha Bhagavat in seven days to King Parikshit , who heard it and attained death happily.

While listening to the Leelas of the Lord and keeping the image of the Lord before one's eyes , if one passes away then one attains the ultimate goal.

Here BABA also did the same thing~

Since many years , BABA had an old BRICK, on which He rested His hand, and sat in yogic posture.

At night, in solitude, He regularly took the support of the BRICK and BABA sat in yogic posture, quietly in the Masjid.

This practice had gone on for quite a few years without disruption, and without any problem. But fate is not governed by any rules , and unexpectedly they are broken.

When BABA was not in the Masjid, a young boy was sweeping . With the intention of cleaning the dirt underneath it, he picked up the BRICK a little.

The time had come for it to break. The BRICK slipped from the boy's hand. It fell down with a bang and broke into pieces.

Hearing of it, BABA said, :" It is not the BRICK but my fate that has broken into pieces. " Saying this, He was very distressed and tears of sorrow sprang from His eyes,.

This BRICK, which was with Him since several years was of long standing, and was the main support for His yogic posture. When it was suddenly broken it seemed to make the Masjid desolate for Him.

BABA had said" In whose company I meditated and was dearer to Me than life, that companion of Mine is broken. I also will not remain without it."

The Patil of Shirdi, Ramachandea Dada, fell very ill once. He could not bear the pain , which was beyond endurance. No remedy was left untried yet the pain did not subside. He felt tired of life. Patil felt greatly worried.
When he was in this mental state, one midnight, suddenly BABA appeared at the head of his bed.
Then Patil clasped His feet and in desperation said to
BABA:"When will death come to me? Tell me only that please. Now I am tired of life. nor I am afraid of death. I am only waiting for death to come to me."

Then BABA, the embodoment of mercy said:"Do not worry . Your fear of danger to life has been averted. Why do you unnecessarily worry? You have nothing to fear. Your death warrant has been sent back. But, Ramchandra, I do not see a chance of safety for Tatya.

In Shaka eighteen hundred and forty, when the sun is apparently moving from north to south, in the month of Ashwin, on Vijaydashami day, in the brighter half of the month, Tatya will attain heavenly bliss. But do not tell him that, otherwise he will take fright and paon away day and night. No one likes death."

Only two years remained and Tatya's time was drawing near. Ramchandra became anxious as BABA's words were always true and like a thunderbolt.

This prediction was kept a secret from Tatya but he confided it to Bala Shimpi, with an earnest request not to reveal it to anyone. Both of them were now worried about it.

Since then, really, Ramchandra Patil recovered; and left his bed. One day passed off after another and time slipped away un-noticed.

The truth of BABA's words is amazing! The month of Bhadrapad of 1840 Shaka was over and the month of Ashwin peeped in. Tatya became ill and was confined to bed.

On the one hand, Tatya was ill with fever (at home) and on the other, BABA was shivering. Tatya had full faith in BABA and BABA'S protector was the Lord.

Tatya was unable to leave his bed and come for BABA'S darshan.Immense was his physical suffering which he was unable to bear.

Though he was himself distressed with his suffering, his mind was attached to BABA. He could not move or stir and his suffering increased.

On the other hand, BABA'S moaning and wailing increased twice as much, day by day. In no time, the ailment became uncontrollable and did not subside.

The day predicted by BABA drew near. Bala Shimpi quaked with fear and so did Patil Ramachandra.

They said: " BABA was absolutely correct. Now that is certain. The symptoms are not at all good and the suffering is on the increase."

The tenth day of the bright half dawned. Tatya's pulse became slower; and he was in a death-like trance. The relatives gathered round him were exhausted.

But then occured a miracle! Tatya's danger to life was also arrested. Tatya lived and BABA left, as if He had exchanged places with him.

Now, recall BABA's words. Though BABA used Tatya's name, He made preparations for His own departure, correct to the minute.

It is no use denying it that when He had given the indication, He had thrown light on the future. But until the event happend, none had realized the implication.

People say that BABA averted Tatya's death by giving His own life. He alone knows the truth.

{ BABA had consoled Tatya by saying that:" You dont worry now. Your death has been avoided by Me . Now in place of you, some one else will go.Then MadavRao who was present thought that now Tatya is saved, who is this"some one else?" Is it not BABA himself ? }

In Shaka year eighteen hundred and forty( year 1918), in the first month of Dakshinayan, in the brighter half of the month, on Vijaydashami, was the day of BABA's leaving the body.

It was the ninth day of the month of Mohorrum of the Muslims and the night of the long knives ( Massacre of Imama Hussain). In the afternoon, SAINATH prepared for eternal emancipation.

The bell struck 12.30 and the Dashami (tenth day) was over. Ekadashi (the eleven day) had commenced. Hence His Niryan was on Ekadashi.

It was the day of the end of the Durga festival in Bengal and also a day of celebration for all in Northern India.

In shaka year eighteen hundred and thirty eight( year 1916), in the evening of Vijaydashami itself, before nightfall, an indication had been given by BABA about the future and none could understand what BABA meant by His action.

A strange thing happend at the time of Seemolanghan of the Dassera festival, when the procession returned in the evening.

The clouds thundered in the sky and on and off lightening struck. In that manner, BABA manifested as a real incarnation of Jamadagni.

Untying the peace of cloth from His head, removing the kafni suddenly,taking off the loin cloth, threw them all in the Dhuni which blazed into flames.

The fire was already very bright and when it was fed by these offerings, it became more brilliant. The upsurge of flames rose high and mighty, and crackled loudly. The devotees were confused.

All this happened unexpectedly. It was difficult to know what BABA had in mind. His way of behaviour at the time of Seemolangan was very frightening.

The fire's brilliance increased. But BABA appeared more lustrous than the fire. The people's eyes were dazzled and they averted their faces.

Agninarayan, Lord of the Fire was propitiated by this offering at the hand of BABA. Blessed were the eyes that beheld the Digambar Jamadagni.

He glared with His eyes,red with anger. He said:" Decide for yourself now, whether I am a Muslim or a Hindu".

On a thundering voice BABA said: "Look! Decide today itself whether I am a Hindu or a Muslim, unrestrainedly and remove all your doubts."

Beholding the spectacle, the people around trembled with fear and only thought about how He could be calmed down.

Bhagoji Shinde, the leper devotee of BABA gathered courage and came near BABA to make Him wear the loin cloth.

He said,"BABA, what is this behaviour? Today is Seemolanghan, and the festival of Dassera".

BABA replied,"This is also my Seemolanghan", and began striking vigorously with the satka.

In this way, BABA stood near the Dhuni without any clothes. It was the day for holding chavadi procession. How would it be held was the worry.
By and by it was 11 o clock. BABA was also a little bit calm. Wearing a new loin cloth, He afterwards put on Kafni.

Under such a pretext, BABA indicated to all that Dassera alone was the auspicious time to cross the boundaries of the worldly existence.

"NAV DIN NAV TARIQ ALLHA MIYA NE APNA DHUNIYA LAGAYA. MARZI ALLHA KI !!
(On the 9th day Allah will take away his own kept lamp. As Allah wish! )

{Nav Din Nav Tariq means Ninth day. BABA left his body on 9th day of Muslim month Moharam.}





In the year 1918, few months before BABA leaving his body he called Bade baba’s son named Kasim and gave him some chapattis and cooked chicken and told him to take this to Aurangabad and meet Shamsuddin Fakir Miya and give all this to him and also give him Rs 250. Tell Shamsuddin Fakir Miya to do Mauloo and Kawali and also do Nyaas .
{Mauloo = Singing songs of Prophet Mohammad, Kawali = Singing songs of saints, Nyaas = Cooking food and distributing it.}


BABA also gave Kasim a garland of marigold flowers and told him to put it into the neck of Banney miya and tell him "NAV DIN NAV TARIQ ALLHA MIYA NE APNA DHUNIYA LAGAYA. MARZI ALLHA KI!"
(On the 9th day Allah will take away his own kept lamp. As Allah wish! )


Getting orders from Baba Kasim spoke that he dose not have any knowledge of Aurangabad. Baba told him to take Chotekhan as guide. So Chotekhan, Kasim & his servant Amir went to Aurangabad & alighted at Aurangabad station....

On the station Shamsuddin Fakir was himself standing there, waiting for these three, "Who are the guests from Sai fakir?” asked Shamsuddin fakir. Chotekhan, Kasim went ahead and greeted him. Then Shamsuddin Fakir uttered the same words which Baba had told to Kasim "NAV DIN NAV TARIQ ALLHA MIYA NE APNA DHUNIYA LAGAYA. MARZI ALLHA KI!” Latter Samsuddin Fakir took these three people to his place.
After giving Rs.250 by Kasim to Shamsuddin Fakir, Nyaas was done and many people had food. Latter in the night program of Mauloo & Kawali was also done as per Baba’s wish.

On the next day Shamsuddin Fakir and these three went to Banney miya. At that time Banney Miya was standing (in meditation) with one hand up and the other down. The people near to Banney Miya told Chotekhan and others not to go near Banney Miya as he would get angry. Chotekhan and others waited for some time, but latter Chotekhan with little daring put the garland of marigold flowers given by BABA into the neck of Banney Miya.

As soon as the garland fell into the neck, Banney Miya opened his eyes and uttered "NAV DIN NAV TARIQ ALLHA MIYA NE APNA DHUNIYA LAGAYA. MARZI ALLHA KI !!” Banney Miya looked up at the sky and tears started flowing from his eyes. { May be by knowing that the day of BABA leaving his body was near he felt bad . } After 4 months of this event BABA left his body. It was also the day of “Katal ki raat”.{ Prophet Mohammad’s daughter Fatima's second son Hazrat Hussein and many young members of his family were killed by Khalifa Yazid and his army.}

Nav Din Nav Tariq means Ninth day. BABA left his body on 9th day of Muslim month Moharam.

तुम लोगो ने मुझे मानव से माधव बना दिया है |प्रत्येक मानव में माधव के दर्शन करो . वही मेरे मिशन का उचित पुरस्कार है , वही मेरी सच्ची पूजा है~~~





दो वर्ष पूर्व , 1916 में , ही बाबा ने अपने निर्वाण के दिन का संकेत कर दिया था, परन्तु उस समय कोई भी समझ नहीं सका । घटना इस प्रकार है । विजया दशमी के दिन जब लोग सन्ध्या के समय सीमोल्लंघन से लौट रहे थे तो बाबा सहसा ही क्रोधित हो गये । सिर पर का कपड़ा, कफनी और लँगोटी निकालकर उन्होंने उसके टुकड़े-टुकड़े करके जलती हुई धूनी में फेंक दिये । बाबा के द्घारा आहुति प्राप्त कर धूनी द्घिगुणित प्रज्वलित होकर चमकने लगी और उससे भी कहीं अदिक बाबा के मुख-मंडल की कांति चमक रही थी । वे पूर्ण दिगम्बर खड़े थे और उनकी आँखें अंगारे के समान चमक रही थी । उन्होंने आवेश में आकर उच्च स्वर में कहा कि लोगो । यहाँ आओ, मुझे देखकर पूर्ण निश्चय कर लो कि मैं हिन्दू हूँ या मुसलमान । सभी भय से काँप रहे थे । किसी को भी उनके समीप जाने का साहस न हो रहा था । कुछ समय बीतने के पश्चात् उनके भक्त भागोजी शिन्दे, जो महारोग से पीड़ित थे, साहस कर बाबा के समीप गये और किसी प्रकार उन्होंने उन्हें लँगोटी बाँध दी और उनसे कहा कि बाबा । यह क्या बात है । देव आज दशहरा (सीमोल्लंघन) का त्योहार है । तब उन्होंने जमीन पर सटका पटकते हुए कहा कि यह मेरा सीमोल्लंघन है । लगभग 11 बजे तक भी उनका क्रोध शान्त न हुआ और भक्तों को चावड़ी जुलूस निकलने में सन्देह होने लगा । एक घण्टे के पश्चात् वे अपनी सहज स्थिति में आ गये और सदी की भांति पोशाक पहनकर चावड़ी जुलूस में सम्मिलित हो गये । इस घटना द्घारा बाबा ने इंगित किया कि जीवन-रेखा पार करने के लिये दशहरा ही उचित समय है । परन्तु उस समय किसी को भी उसका असली अर्थ समझ में न आया ।

{तात्या कोई और नहीं बल्कि बैजाबाई जो बाबा की परम भक्त थीं, उनका ही पुत्र था। तात्या भी बाबा को मामा कहकर संबोधित करते थे।}की मृत्यु टालना - रामचन्द्र पाटील बहुत बीमार हो गये थे । उन्हें बहुत कष्ट हो रहा था । सब प्रकार के उपचार किये गये, परन्तु कोई लाभ न हुआ और जीवन से हताश होकर वे मृत्यु के अंतिम क्षणों की प्रतीक्षा करने लगे । तब एक दिन मध्याहृ रात्रि के समय बाबा अनायास ही उनके सिराहने प्रगट हुए । पाटील उनके चरणों से लिपट कर कहने लगे कि मैंने अपने जीवन की समस्त आशाये छोड़ दी है । अब कृपा कर मुझे इतना तो निश्चित बतलाइये कि मेरे प्राण अब कब निकलेंगे । दया-सिन्धु बाबा ने कहा कि घबराओ नहीं । तुम्हारी हुँण्डी वापस ले ली गई है और तुम शीघ्र ही स्वस्थ हो जाओगे । मुझे तो केवल तात्या का भय है कि सन् 1918 में विजया दशमी के दिन उसका देहान्त हो जायेगा । किन्तु यह भेद किसी से प्रगट न करना और न ही किसी को बतलाना । अन्यथा वह अधिक यभीत हो जायेगा । रामचन्द्र अब पूर्ण स्वस्थ हो गये, परन्तु वे तात्या के जीवन के लिये निराश हुए । उन्हें ज्ञात था कि बाबा के शब्द कभी असत्य नहीं निकल सकते और दो वर्ष के पश्चात ही तात्या इस संसर से विदा हो जायेगा । उन्होंने यह भेद बाला शिंपी के अतिरिक्त किसी से भी प्रगट न किया । केवल दो ही व्यक्ति – रामचन्द्र दादा और बाला शिंपी तात्या के जीवन के लिये चिन्ताग्रस्त और दुःखी थे । रामचन्द्र ने शैया त्याग दी और वे चलने-फिरने लगे । समय तेजी से व्यतीत होने लगा । शके 1840 का भाद्रपद समाप्त होकर आश्विन मास प्रारम्भ होने ही वाला था कि बाबा के वचन पूर्णतः सत्य निकले । तात्या बीमार पड़ गये और उन्होंने चारपाई पकड़ ली । उनकी स्थिति इतनी गंभीर हो गई कि अब वे बाबा के दर्शनों को भी जाने में असमर्थ हो गये । इधर बाबा भी ज्वर से पीड़ित थे । तात्या का पूर्ण विश्वास बाबा पर था और बाबा का भगवान श्री हरि पर, जो उनके संरक्षक थे । तात्या की स्थिति अब और अधिक चिन्ताजनक हो गई । वह हिलडुल भी न सकता था और सदैव बाबा का ही स्मरण किया करता था । इधर बाबा की भी स्थिति उत्तरोत्तर गंभीर होने लगी । बाबा द्घार बतलाया हुआ विजया-दमी का दिन भी निकट आ गया । तब रामचन्द्र दादा और बाला शिंपीबहुत घबरा गये । उनके शरीर काँप रहे थे, पसीने की धारायें प्रवाहित हो रही थी, कि अब तात्या का अन्तिम साथ है । जैसे ही विजया-दशमी का दिन आया, तात्या की नाड़ी की गति मन्द होने लगी और उसकी मृत्यु सन्निकट दिखलाई देने लगी । उसी समय एक विचित्र घटना घटी । तात्या की मृत्यु टल गई और उसके प्राण बच गये, परन्तु उसके स्थान पर बाबा स्वयं प्रस्थान कर गये और ऐसा प्रतीत हुआ, जैसे कि परस्पर हस्तान्तरण हो गया हो । सभी लोग कहने लगे कि बाबा ने तात्या के लिये प्राण त्यागे । ऐसा उन्होंने क्यों किया, यह वे ही जाने, क्योंकि यह बात हमारी बुद्घि के बाहर की है । ऐसी भी प्रतीत होता है कि बाबा ने अपने अन्तिम काल का संकेत तात्या का नाम लेकर ही किया था ।

{जब बाबा ने तात्या को सात्वना दी थी ही चिंता न करो तुम मरना नहीं चाहते न...मैंने तुम्हारी मृत्यु को टाल दिया है अब तुम्हारी जगह कोइ और जाएगा ...तभी माधवराव के मन में यह चिंता थी कि यह " कोइ और " तात्या के स्थान पर कही बाबा ही न हो.....}


ऐसा ही एक और संकेत था , गोपाल राव और बूटी को एक सा
स्वप्न आया और बाबा ने स्वप्न में दोनों को कहा कि जल्दी वाड़ा तैयार करा दो | और हम दशहरा के दिन उस भवन का उदघाटन करेगे |
फिर ये दोनों माधव राव के पास गए और
फिर बाबा के पास ... फिर बाबा से माधव राव ने पूछा कि आप चाहते है कि बूटी वाड़ा बनवाये , ठीक है न ??
बाबा ने कहा तुरंत ही , आज ही काम शुरू कर दो , और इसे विजयदशमी के दिन तक पूर्ण कर दो | बूटी ने पूछा कि उसके भीतर हम किसका मंदिर बनाए गे ?
बाबा बोले अरे किसी भी देवता - किसी भी भगवान का मंदिर . हम सब भी तो स्वयं ही भगवान है . उन्ही के असितत्व के अंश है . हम सब उसके भीतर बैठे गे और गप्पे मारेगे . हम भजन गाये गे , हम आनन्द करेगे , हम सब वहां जी भर कर उचल कूद करेगे , भगवान तो केवल मंदिर को सजाने के लिए ही होते है...

जब वाड़ा बन के तैयार हो गया तो बाबा ने शामा से कहा कि कितना सुन्दर है न ? मैं स्वयं यहाँ विश्राम करने के लिए आना चाहता हूँ |
स बात पर बूटी ने कहाँ कि बाबा आप तुरंत यहाँ क्यूँ नहीं आ जाते ?
तब बाबा के कहाँ अरे नहीं मैं तो बस ऐसे ही बकवास करता हूँ . तुम लोगो ने मुझे मानव से माधव बना दिया है , यह तुम लोगो की महानता है , यहाँ मुझे सब कुछ प्राप्त हुआ लेकिन ऐसे भाव समस्त प्राणियों के प्रति रखों , प्रत्येक मानव में माधव के दर्शन करो . वही मेरे मिशन का उचित पुरस्कार है , वही मेरी सच्ची पूजा है ....

साईं बाबा एक ऐसे फकीर हैं जिन्हें हर धर्म के लोग बड़ी श्रद्धा से पूजते हैं। सभी जाति और धर्म इनके प्रति पूर्ण विश्वास रखते हैं। इनकी आराधना किसी भी विशेष मुहूर्त या वार को किया जा सकती है परंतु गुरुवार को इनकी पूजा का विशेष महत्व माना गया है।

ॐ साईं राम!!!

२९ दिसम्बर , १९११ ~~~

मुझे उठने में थोड़ी देर हुई और फिर श्री नाटेकर , जिन्हें हम 'हंस ' और स्वामी कहते हैं , के साथ मैं बात चीत करने के लिए बैठ गया | मैं पूजा वगैरह समय पर समाप्त नहीं कर पाया और साईं महाराज के बाहर जाते हुए दर्शन भी नहीं कर पाया | जब वे मस्जिद लौटे तब मैंने उनके दर्शन किए| हंस मेरे साथ थे | साईं महाराज बहुत अच्छे भाव में थे और उन्होंने एक कहानी शुरू की जो कि बहुत बहुत प्रेरक थी लेकिन दुर्भाग्य वश त्रिम्बक राव जिसे हम मारुति कहते है , ने अत्यंत मुर्खता वश बीच में ही टोक दिया और साईं महाराज ने उसके बाद विषय बदल दिया | उन्होंने कहा कि एक नौजवान था , जो भूखा था और वह लगभग हर लिहाज से जरूरतमंद था | वह नौजवान आदमी इधर- उधर घुमने के बाद साईं साहेब के पिता के घर गया और जहां उसका बहुत अच्छी तरह सत्कार हुआ और उसे जो भी चाहिए था वह दिया गया | लड़के ने वहां कुछ समय बिताया , मोटा हो गया , कुछ चीजे जमा कर ली , गहने चुराए , और इन सब का एक बंडल बना कर जहां से आया था वहीं लौट जाना चाहा | वास्तव में वः साईं साहेब के पिता के घर में ही पैदा हुआ था और वही का था लेकिन इस बात को नहीं जानता था | इस लड़के ने बंडल गली के एक कोने में डाल दिया लेकिन इससे पहले कि वे बाहर निकले , देख लिया गया | इसी लिए उसे देर करनी पडी | इस बीच में चोर उसके बंडल से गहने ले गए | ठीक निकलने से पहले उसने उन्हें गायब पाया इसी किए वह घर में ही रुक गया और कुछ और गहने इकठ्ठे किए और फिर चल पडा , लेकिन रास्ते में लोगो ने उसे उन चीज़ों को चुराने के संदेह में कैद कर लिया | इस मोड़ पर आकर कहानी का विषय बदल गया और वह अचानक ही रुक गयी |

मध्यान्ह आरती से लौटने के बाद मैंने हंस से मेरे साथ भोजन लेने का आग्रह किया और उसने मेरा निमंत्रण स्वीकार कर लिया | वह सीधा साधा बहुत ही भला आदमी हैं , और खाना खाने के बाद उसने हमें हिमालय में अपने भ्रमण के बारे में बता या , वह किस तरह मानसरोवर पहुचाँ , किस तरह उसने वहां एक उपनिषद का गायन सुना , किस तरह वहपद चिन्हों के पीछे गया , किस तरह वह एक गुफा में पहुचाँ , एक महात्मा को देखा , किस तरह उस महात्मा ने उसी दिन बंबई में हुई तिलक ही सना के बारे में बात की , किस पतः उस महात्मा ने उसे अपने भाई { बड़े सहपाठी } से मिलवाया , किस तरह आखिरकार वह अपने गुरु से मिला और ' क्रतार्थ ' हुआ | बाद में हम साईं बाबा के पास गए और मस्जिद में उनके दर्शन किए | उन्होंने आज दोपहर मेरे पास सन्देश भेजा कि मुझे यहाँ और दो महीने रुकना पडेगा | दोपहर में उन्होंने अपने सन्देश की पुष्टि की और फिर कहाँ कि उनकी ' उदी ' में महत अध्यात्मिक गुण है | उन्होंने मेरी पत्नी से कहाँ कि गवर्नर एक सरकारी नौकर के साथ आया और साईं महाराज की उससे अनबन हुई और उसे उन्होंने बाहर निकाल दिया और आखिरकार गवर्नर के साथ समझोता कर लिया | भाषा अत्यंत संकेतात्मक है इसीलिए उसकी व्याख्या करना कठिन है | शाम को हम शेज आरती में उपस्थित हुए और उसके बाद भीष्म के भजन और दीक्षित की रामायण हुई |

The taste of food cannot be appreciated if the person is ill or if the mind is immersed in something else. Similarly, even if you are engaged in spiritual practices, you will not experience joy if your heart is filled with evil qualities. You can taste sweetness so long as there is sugar on the tongue. However, if there is even a tinge of bitterness on the tongue, your whole mouth tastes bitter. Therefore, those who aspire to attain the Holy Presence of the Lord must cultivate good habits, discipline and noble qualities. The usual accustomed ways of life will not lead you to God automatically. You must perform Sadhana (spiritual practices) to modify it suitably.


See Good, Be Good and Do Good.  This is the way to God!

You see, hear, and experience many things in this world. They are nothing but the reflection, reaction, and resound of your inner being. All that you see in the outside world is actually a part of you. Consider this example. There is someone who hates you. Actually it is the hatred in you that has taken the form of hatred in him. In the same manner, adulation or denigration, good or evil are reflections of your own self. Whatever you see in the outside world, whatever you experience, be it pleasure or pain, has in fact come from within you.
SAI is truly PARABRAHMA . Nothing else exists except SAI. Therefore truly all things in this world are but form of SAI...
"I am the Inner Ruler of all & seated in your hearts . I envelop all the creatures , the movable world ''.
It may be possible to count rain drops , It may be possible to control the wind . But who can measure The Miracles of SAI BABA???

Acquisition of positions of authority and power, of skill and intelligence which can manipulate people and things, of fame and supremacy, of personal charm, of good health and happiness or of a large family with many children or wealth… none of these can confer liberation. You cannot attain liberation by undertaking sacrifices, vows, charities, pilgrimages or donations to holy projects. Though the objective world appears real, you must be aware that it is deluding you. You must give up yearning for deriving pleasure from the objects that appear and attract - both here and hereafter. Renunciation alone can lead to immortality. You will be liberated as soon as you renounce your attachment and desire.

Being truthful is thousand times better than performing rituals in the name of GOD...
